What should you know about artificial intelligence? Experts shed light on the opportunities and challenges of AI
This year's highly popular 4T Summit focused on the transformation of working life and the role of AI in the future of work. The event, organised jointly by YTK Worklife and Eduhouse, generated a lot of reflection on AI - what should everyone know, and what future developments should they prepare for? Eduhouse's AI experts Petri Kettunen and Esa Riutta answer the burning questions.
Will individuals' opportunities in the workplace of the future diminish as the use of AI increases? How will the opportunities for individuals change?
Esa Riutta: "The world of work will certainly change in the future, and it is very likely that those with up-to-date skills will do best. This increasingly means the ability to handle content with AI."
Petri Kettunen: "Due to the change, I also believe that opportunities may even increase in some situations. With AI, we will be able to be much more than before!"
How many jobs are likely to be replaced by AI in the future, for example in the next year?
Esa: "This is very difficult to estimate, because AI is evolving rapidly. AI is unlikely to directly replace many jobs, but the increase in the workload of AI workers could replace jobs in the next few years."
Petri: "All I have to do is go to a fast food place and a machine will take my order instead of talking to a human. But I don't think there will be situations where people will be replaced immediately. Still, as Esa pointed out, with the increase in workload, there will certainly be pressure to reduce the number of pairs of hands in certain tasks. But those pairs of hands will be needed in new roles that do not yet exist."
Where to learn about AI and where to find reliable information?
Esa: "Eduhouse offers a comprehensive set of AI training courses, including how to use ChatGPT and Bing, as well as many other services such as voice cloning and image generation. We are constantly adding new trainings to our platform. Right now, for example, we are working on Copilot trainings."
Petri: "The Eduhouse service is a good place to start, but also your own hands-on training with ChatGPT, for example, is crucial. Be curious!"
Should we be concerned about the ethics of AI? How should individuals react to issues such as the accuracy of source data or copyright issues?
Esa: "AI-generated content should always be understood as raw data - it is not a substitute for expertise or professionalism. All AI-generated content should always be reviewed. The copyright situation of AI is also currently unresolved. Therefore, with this issue, we have to wait for bigger players than us to make a decision."
Petri: "In the future, we will see more and more solutions that also provide the sources of where the answer was produced."
Is it possible to get training on how to use ChatGPT, including a demo on how to use AI?
Esa: "Eduhouse's trainings include both remote training and video recordings, which provide convenient access to various practical examples.

Who manages and controls AI? What is it worth knowing about the background of different AI applications?
Esa: "Different AIs are controlled by different parties. For example, ChatGPT is backed by OpenAI."
Will the growing use of AI change the issues of information security? Is the current basic knowledge of information security sufficient in the age of AI?
Petri: "We all need to be more aware of security and scams. A self-aware attitude and a little criticality is golden."
Esa: "AI is a very useful tool for scams. Unfortunately, it enables more detailed scams and localisation of scams and lowers the cost of scams. These things combine to make it a powerful tool in the fraudsters' toolbox, and we will certainly see more scams using AI."
How can an adviser, consultant or other professional in an expert role use AI now and in the future?
Esa and Petri: "There are many options. Depending on the job, AI can be used for example to speed up content production, sparring, brainstorming and preparation, and data analysis."
Which AI-based image editing software would be worth exploring for graphic designers and image editors?
Esa: "Again, there are many options. It's worth trying the AI features offered by Photoshop, Recraft, Midjourney and Dall-e3, for example."
How can AI be used in the induction of a new employee?
Esa: "AI can very well be used to create or tailor the materials for a new employee's induction in different ways. It is also possible to use AI to think about what should be added to an existing induction set."
Petri: "AI can also be used to build, for example, a training programme with timetables and content."
